Solitaire Engagement RingsDiamond Solitaire is perhaps the most popular style of Engagement Rings. Three Stone Engagement Rings and Multi Stone Engagement Rings are the other popular styles. Solitaire Engagement Rings are designed to showcase a single diamond and the design maximises the light getting into the diamond. This, along with the cut of the diamond, determines just how enchantingly it sparkles! Take a look at some of the solitaire designs we have created: Solitaire Diamond Engagement RingsAt 1791 Diamonds, we have a wide range of Diamond Shapes to put into your Solitaire Engagement Ring. Round Brilliant and Princess shaped diamonds are the most popular. Below are some examples of different settings for your Diamond Solitaire Engagement Ring.

Why Diamond Cut Is ImportantDiamond Cut refers to how well the diamond itself has been crafted. The better the cut, the more sparkle and fire you will see in your diamond. The diagram below shows light travelling through a well cut diamond, and a poorly cut diamond. An 'Excellent' cut diamond, in the 'Ideal' diagram below, has a great refraction of light, therefore enabling the diamond to sparkle more. A 'Good' or 'Poor' cut of diamond, as shown in the 'Shallow' and 'Deep' diagrams below, leaks out light so losing the brilliance of the diamond. |
