1791 created the perfect engagement ring for me to propose with; and without ever meeting a single one of their team face to face! From the first moment I saw their website I was confident that they could do exactly what I wanted, even though I didn't know quite what that was at the time. Alice took time to understand the look and feel of what I wanted and quickly came up with concepts that were beautifully tailored to suit. Discussing my chosen design with her later, I couldn't even find any changes I wanted to make. After some much needed help on getting the right diamond and ring size (thanks Ardouin), my design was crafted into the perfect ring. The team at 1791 even disguised the packaging to ensure it remained a surprise right until the last moment. And of course she said yes!

Hey Ardouin,
I really big thank you for all your hard work getting the ring to Hong Kong in time.
My good friend got the package on Thursday and ended up bringing it on a boozy night out with him not knowing the true contents of the package eeeekkkk haha!
The proposal went exactly like I was hoping for on top of a mountain overlooking an Island I grey up on. G didn't see it coming a mile away! She absolutely loves the ring and wouldn't want to change a thing about it. And to make everything just perfect the fit of the ring is spot on!
So a huge thank you from myself and G.
Cheers
Jason
Tamara Diamond Ring Review
The Tamara Diamond Ring from 1791 Diamonds is a classic four claw solitaire. This style, although simple, remains one of the most popular choices for diamond engagement rings. Do not, however, take "simple" to mean "plain"; the Tamara design is strikingly beautiful and it is perhaps its simplicity which makes the diamond solitaire so charming.
A solitaire focuses attention on one single diamond, it is essential therefore to select a stone of the highest quality while staying within your personal budget. Purchasing through 1791 Diamonds is a good start since their diamonds are all within the top grades for cut, colour and clarity. They also provide a helpful online tool to help you select a diamond according to the "4Cs" (cut, colour, clarity and carat) and to see how this affects the overall price of your ring. You can also choose between 18kt yellow or white gold, or platinum for the ring's band.
The diamond of choice for the Tamara design is the stunning round brilliant cut. Once again, this is a popular choice of diamond but do not let this put you off on the grounds that your ring will appear ordinary or commonplace. The reason that brides-to-be often favour this particular cut is that it was specifically designed to optimise its extraordinary sparkling effect.
